Berkeley is a stunning mediaeval castle which has been the home of the Berkeley family since 1153. 

Family activities include Jousting, Archery, Falconry, Jester Skills, Knights Sword Fighting, Wild Play Area, Treasure Hunts, and much more.

Location for the filming of Johnny English 3, The White Princess and the BBC’s adaptation of Wolf Hall & Poldark.

Tall Towers, Dungeon, majestic Great Hall, elegant Drawing Rooms, see the cell where an English King, Edward II was held captive and subsequently murdered. Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn & Elizabeth I stayed there; Shakespeare wrote ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ for a Berkeley family wedding.

Berkeley Castle Opening Times 2023

Berkeley Castle is open from Sunday 2 April until Wednesday 5 November 2023
Sunday to Wednesday inclusive. Always closed on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Tickets are available online and can also be purchased at the Ticket Office during opeing hours.
When booking your tickets, you will be asked to choose an arrival time slot. This is not a strict arrival time - it is just a guide to help  to manage capacity and keep queues to a minimum.
Arrival times:
11.00am, 12.00pm, 1.00pm & 2.00pm
