Take a stroll beneath the leafy canopies of Bear Wood, the UK’s largest and most ambitious brown bear exhibit. Look out for wolves, Eurasian lynx and wolverines on the woodland floor below, and marvel as four magnificent brown bears splash around and climb up the trees.
Meet majestic giraffes at eye-level and survey our African grasslands from a special viewing platform. Marvel as five different types of mischievous lemur scamper around your feet in our immersive walk-through. Experience the thrill of seeing cheetahs, wolves and baboons, and learn about protecting habitats both worldwide and on your doorstep.
While you’re at Wild Place Project, do as the animals do and embrace your wild side! Kick off your shoes and tantalise your toes with our Barefoot Trail, run wild between lots of play areas, or fling yourself through the air with Leap of Faith (additional charge applies).

Wild Place Project offer a variety of thrilling experience days, perfect for animal lovers. Have a go at being Keeper for a Day, or have a spine-tingling encounter with a choice of animals including giraffe, lemurs, cheetahs and meerkats. - Open every day from 10.00am to 5.00pm in peak season, closing at 4.00pm off season.
- Closed on Christmas Day.
- Last entry to Wild Place Project and Bear Wood is an hour before closing time.
Wild Place Project is just off junction 17 of the M5, near Cribbs Causeway.
