About Segways at JDR Karting

JDR Karting opens the first indoor 'Ninebot' Segways Arena in the UK.

Many people don’t know who Ninebot are but most have heard of Segway even if they haven’t experienced the tremendous fun riding one. Ninebot copied a lot of Segway’s technology and set about modernising their design. Whilst Segway came up with a very revolutionary design it made little progress in development over the 15 years after its conception. In 2015 Ninebot bought Segway and is the biggest company in the world producing electric personal transportation vehicles.

Customers can learn how to ride these amazing machines at our indoor venue whatever the weather. After just a few minutes they will be able to ride around competently and then we will add various obstacles such as cones and ramps to be negotiated to further the rider’s skills and truly experience the manoeuvrability of these machines. Riders as young as 10yrs should be able to do this ranging up to adults. Our oldest rider so far is 84yrs old and managed to do this really well. So even if you haven’t got the best balance its easier than you may imagine.

Sessions are easy to book and if available you can just turn up and have ago as an individual or a group. We provide all the safety equipment and the instructor will teach you how to ride them.

Taking groups of up to 5 people at a time, but larger groups will take it in turns and the time will be doubled. This is an excellent activity for birthday parties and Christmas parties.

JDR Karting are authorised resellers for 'Ninebot' Segways so you can buy any of their extensive range of machines from us. All machines come with a 12 months warranty and excellent spares backup. You can come and try before you buy.
