ICBP has been in existence for over five decades, fulfilling its brief of the conservation of birds of prey. It has been through many changes over the years and now it is time for another change. Therefore, it is with great sadness that ithey have announced the closure of ICBP as a public facility in Newent, Gloucestershire after almost 55 years of welcoming the public and sharing their birds. 

International Centre for Birds of Prey

For a great family day out in beautiful surroundings and the opportunity to see spectacular flying demonstrations, it’s a visit not to be missed. It’s also a great photography opportunity and courses with experts are also available. For a great present you can also book special experience days and get to handle the birds.


International Centre For Birds of Prey highlights at a glance

  • Three daily flying demonstrations from 60 birds throughout the year
  • Over 200 birds of prey and more than 75 different species to see up close, some of which are critically endangered

2022 Opening times at the International Centre for Birds of Prey

Open 10:30am – 17:30pm or dusk, 7 days a week from February to November.
Summer demos times are at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm
Spring and winter times are at 12pm & 3pm

If you are a UK Tax Payer…please gift aid your ticket purchase!

Selecting the Gift Aid option at the checkout means your whole ticket purchase can be treated as a donation and reclaim 25p tax for every pound spent at no extra cost to you.  To say thank you for gift aiding, your ticket will then allow return entrance to the Centre as many times as you wish for 12 months from the date of purchase.


Group Visits

Discounted rates available. The International Centre for Birds of Prey is the perfect location for corporate away days. Bespoke packages can be also be provided for hen/stag and group parties. Enquire by calling or filling in the form on the website under "your visit" or email info@icbp.org

2020 Membership Prices

This runs for 12 calendar months and allows the member free access to the Centre during opening hours. Bring a guest and have a 25% discount on their entrance fee!

Dogs at the International Centre for Birds of Prey

No dogs are allowed. Guide dogs allowed ONLY if advised prior to visit. 


Disabled Access at International Centre for Birds of Prey

Accesible in most areas. Two wheelchairs are available to loan.
