Frank Turner - The Gathering at Llanthony Priory

In celebration of the ethos behind his new single ‘The Gathering’ - Frank will headline two outdoors shows at Llanthony Secunda Priory, Gloucester on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 July 2021.
It’s been a catastrophic year for the Industry as a whole, with the Covid pandemic dealing blow after blow for everyone in the sector. In true punk rock style, Xtra Mile and Turner want to take matters into their own hands with a set of versatile events that can either be socially distanced or full capacity depending on the maximum safety of the audience, performers and crews and in accordance with any national restrictions in place at the time of the event.
Frank says; “At a time when the pandemic has wreaked havoc all across the live music industry, I feel like it's important to get back to the basics - playing live music to entertain a crowd. This summer, with Xtra Mile and friends, I'm taking the punk approach - do it yourself, find a way. I can't wait.”
Over the course of an astonishing career spanning 20 years + and counting - during which he has to date sold in excess 1 million records and played to over 2 million people - Frank Turner’s popularity has grown with his artistry. From the ferocious, sweaty box venues of rock band Million Dead and starting from scratch with an acoustic guitar in pubs and bedrooms in 2005, to his name now routinely appearing in the largest font on ticket stubs that permit entry to such venues as Wembley Arena, The O2 or the Royal Albert Hall. He has carved out a career as a hard-touring, punk-folk troubadour with a diehard fanbase drawn to a singer-songwriter who refuses to play the game and does things on his own terms.
This one day festival bill will be headlined by Frank with supports coming from the Xtra Mile label roster including Johnny Lloyd, PET NEEDS, Non Canon, Deux Furieuses and Guise.
