REVIEW: Spa Day at The Cheltenham Chase Hotel

Overdue a bit of down-time, my sister and I decided to have an escape from work and start the week off on a high, so headed off to the Cheltenham Chase Hotel to experience one of their luxury Spa Days - a bit of self-indulgence and a good girly catch-up were much needed!
The Cheltenham Chase Hotel is so accessible. Situated on the A46, less than a mile off the A417 Brockworth by-pass, it’s ideally located between Cheltenham and Gloucester. There’s also lots of car parking for all guests and visitors.
Following a warm and friendly reception by the Spa staff, lunch was booked with our treatments scheduled for 1pm.
With access to the full facilities at The Cheltenham Chase Hotel, we were provided with towels, robes and slippers. Once changed we headed off to enjoy the Spa facilities - first we enjoyed a few idol lengths in the swimming pool before showering off and unwinding in the steam room and sauna before a relaxing round of bubbles or two in the jacuzzi. The Spa Day was about an ultimate pampering session so we left our gym kit at home - we did however glance through to the fully equipped gym, and at those who were intent on working up a sweat - perhaps next time a bit of a cardio workout, but not today.
At midday we headed off for our light lunch in the bar.
We had a choice of feta or chicken salad with houmous and pitta bread, a fruity kebab, apple juice and a chocolate brownie to follow. This was more than ample for the time of day but extra choices were available from the menu if required (with 20% off).
The treatment we opted for was a 25-minute body exfoliation, followed by a 25-minute facial using luxury ESPA products.
Our beauty therapists, Natasha and Chelsea put us at ease (my sister was slightly apprehensive as this was her first spa day experience), and explained exactly what they were going to do, or not do if we did not want. My sister has particularly ticklish feet and thought they were best left well alone - we all had a chuckle about this.
The 50 minutes Spa experience was a complete escape in tranquil surroundings - a long way away from the hectic hustle and bustle of work and of the busy lives we lead. Not only did we leave the treatment room feeling relaxed with silky, smooth skin and smelling gorgeous, but completely unwound from the pressures of life.
Post treatment, we meandered slowly back to the bar where we enjoyed a fresh cup of coffee (tea) where Moa, the Spa manager gave us both a free ESPA product — something which I would enjoy at a later date.
We left the Spa at the Cheltenham Chase Hotel fully prepared for the week ahead - and my sister, the imminent school run!
A big THANK YOU to Moa and her team at The Spa at The Cheltenham Chase Hotel - a five star experience.
