Easter activities at the ICBP

Can you find an Eagle’s egg? Paint a pebble? Beat the Bingo trail?
Come and help the International Centre for Birds of Prey celebrate Easter with lots of exciting activities over the holidays. Kicking off at 10.30am every morning from Saturday 8th April right through to Sunday 23rd April, everyone is welcome to join in the fun.
As it’s Spring, the birds have been frantically laying their eggs all over the grounds for our Great Bird Egg Hunt, and each one has been given a special letter. You’ll need eagle-eyes spot them all. Unscramble the letters to discover our secret password to unlock yourself a special prize.
From Nest Building to Nature Trail Bingo, Guess the Weight and painting stones for our special Pebble Garden…there are plenty of fun activities to keep the whole family entertained all day here at the centre. There will also be some bird-related crafts and super fact sheets that you can make and take home with you.
Jemima Parry-Jones (MBE), Director of ICBP, said:
‘Easter is always a special time here at the International Centre for Birds of Prey, but this year we’ve an extra spring in our step as we are celebrating our 50th Anniversary.
‘We’ve lots of exciting plans for the whole year, but Easter, with the eggs starting to hatch here in our breeding room, and the gardens blooming back into life, is the perfect time to celebrate.
‘We would love you to be a part of our festivities, and help make 2017 our best year yet. ‘
The birds will be showcasing their magnificent aerial displays 3 times every day as usual, whatever the weather, with the first display taking flight at 11.30am.
And of course the café is on site serving hot and cold drinks, lunches for all the family, and some cracking cakes to keep tummies happy too during your visit. Or why not bring a picnic, if the April showers remain at bay.
So make sure you spread your wings and fly into the International Centre for Birds of Prey, nestled in the beautiful countryside at the foot of Mayhill.
