Painswick Rococo Garden

Painswick Rococo Garden

Escape the 21st century and explore a country gentleman’s fanciful garden.  Designed in the 1740s for holding intimate garden parties, this hidden valley is now the country's only surviving complete rococo garden.  Enjoy the gorgeous views, snuggle in one of the garden follies and have a go on our woodland swing.  Then battle through the unusual maze and enjoy homemade food in the café.

To aid you there are handrails on the steepest slopes and there are 45 benches dotted around the Garden. We do not recommend attempting to visit the Garden with a motorised scooter due to the nature of the terrain.
